Eat Drink SF

We attended Eat Drink SF at the city's Fort Mason over the weekend, and it was an incredible opportunity to try selections from a huge variety of local restaurants, as well as a number of beers, wines, and liquors.  We had a great evening sampling as many of the items on offer as we could, and we can't wait to go back next year... In the meantime, we will be visiting as many of our favorite featured restaurants as possible!

We were thrilled to see that our favorite British gin, Sipsmith, was part of the event and growing a presence locally

The chicken molé taco from Uno Dos Tacos was one of the best dishes we sampled, and pairs well with gin & tonics

One Market had excellent Dungeness crab cake bites

The Cavalier had the cutest fox companion

Canela had one of the prettiest presentations with their duck liver custards with rose water oil

Chef Michael Chiarello was on hand to do a cooking demonstration

The Kable Kar Kolsch was a great local beer

We loved sampling all of the Spirit Works gins, including the world's only barrel aged sloe gin

Tyler Florence was at the Wayfair Tavern booth and posed for pictures with fans

This adorable little trailer can be rented as a portable bar for any local party or event

What We're Talking About This Week

We highly recommend this quintessential, classic guide to LA for an out-of-towner.  We have shared our love of the Huntington Library, the Getty Villa, and Dan Tana's before, and there are many other favorites on this list.

Last weekend, the Renegade Craft Fair made a stop in LA, and now it's moving on to San Francisco, where it'll be in residence for three days at Fort Mason before heading further up the coast to Portland.

This tongue in cheek post, If Tom Hardy Were Your Boyfriend, had us laughing nonstop.  It's an amazing - and hilarious - fantasy.  LEGEND.

Off the Grid at Fort Mason

One of our favorite low-key Friday night activities in the summer is to grab dinner at Off the Grid at Fort Mason. Multiple food and drink trucks and tents offer something for everyone, no matter what you're in the mood to eat. We love to sample a little bit of everything.
