Interior Design Trend: Leather & Metal Accent Chairs

We love the modern yet comfortable combination of metal and leather found in these accent chairs. First used by designers such as Marcel Breuer at the Bauhaus School in the 1920s, metal frame chairs have been common in many designers' oeuvres, from Mies van der Rohe to Giuseppe Terragni to Charles and Ray Eames.

The Louis XIV chair has been completely overdone in recent years, and we feel it's time for a change. This classic is experiencing a resurgence of popularity, and a pair would be a perfect addition to a living room (or, as Modani suggests, an indoor/outdoor patio).
