The Cambridges Take New York

The beginning of this week marked the second US tour for the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge. Their first royal tour to the US was a visit to Southern California, and we attended polo in Santa Barbara just to see them, but this time the royals visited New York. During their whirlwind trip, William and Kate attended a basketball game, the 9/11 Memorial, a fundraising dinner for their Alma mater, and several events supporting their charities and pet causes, involving endangered animals and children's education. While this wasn't our favorite tour in a sartorial sense, Kate looked lovely during the trip, dressed conservatively for the cold weather and her newly visible second pregnancy.

Moment to Remember
Sometimes the best vacation find isn't a
physical object that you can take home, but a perfect memory or tableau
that you keep in your mind. This moment, watching Pharrell perform at the historic Apollo Theater in NYC's Harlem, was one
of those perfect pictures to remember.

Fashionable Film - The Other Woman
We recently saw The Other Woman, and while it was a fairly standard romantic comedy, it was elevated by the great cast (including Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann, and Kate Upton), gorgeous locations in NYC and The Hamptons, and fabulous costumes. We are taking serious style inspiration for summer from everything Diaz's character, Carly, wore. The Sex and the City costume designer, the incredible Patricia Field, put together the looks, and we can't stop obsessing over them.
