The Cambridges Take New York

The beginning of this week marked the second US tour for the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge.  Their first royal tour to the US was a visit to Southern California, and we attended polo in Santa Barbara just to see them, but this time the royals visited New York.  During their whirlwind trip, William and Kate attended a basketball game, the 9/11 Memorial, a fundraising dinner for their Alma mater, and several events supporting their charities and pet causes, involving endangered animals and children's education.  While this wasn't our favorite tour in a sartorial sense, Kate looked lovely during the trip, dressed conservatively for the cold weather and her newly visible second pregnancy.

Queen Letizia of Spain

Today, King Juan Carlos I of Spain has stepped down to allow his son, Prince Felipe, to become King of Spain while still in his prime.  There has been much controversy about the Spanish Royals of late, but no one is saying that their new Queen Letizia is anything but chic.  The former journalist and Crown Princess is stunning, and knows exactly how to suit her figure and coloring, while both looking current and maintaining her decorum.  These are some of our favorite of the ensembles she has worn since becoming part of the Spanish Royal Family a decade ago.

Fashion Icon: Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece

We have been admiring the style of Crown Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece ever since she was just Marie-Chantal, one of New York Society's celebrated Miller Sisters.  But the princess, children's clothing designer, and mother of five has developed into a very sophisticated woman, sticking to classic styles and a neutral color palette of white, black, tan, champagne, and dove gray, with the occasional dose of red.  Now a resident of London and frequent guest at royal events, we love seeing what the cool blonde will wear next.

Yesterday the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Baby Prince George headed home from their nineteen day royal tour Down Under, and we are already missing our daily Kate Middleton fashion fix.  We shared our favorite of the Duchess of Cambridge's looks in New Zealand, and here are some of her best looks from the Australia portion of the trip.

Kate's Royal Tour - New Zealand Leg

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, along with baby Prince George, are currently on a Royal Tour of New Zealand and Australia.  We are loving every minute of watching the young royal family on their visit, from George's first official duties, to William and Kate's playful relationship, to the Duchess' new outfits after hearing about her recent 'makeover'.  Here are some of our favorite looks from the first part of the trip.
