Growing up in the Golden State — California — has spoiled us in many ways. We are sentimental about sunsets over the Pacific, hikes amid massive redwoods, and lazy afternoons drinking Arnold Palmers by the pool. The lifestyle we were raised with has influenced us immensely. After ten years of living apart (one of us in New York City, and the other between Paris and San Francisco) we are both back in our Golden State, and want to create a 'place' where we can collect and share our sun dappled memories, dreams, experiences, and ideas.
Golden Dreamland is not exactly a place, but more a
state of mind. A state where one can live surrounded by beauty - beauty
in surroundings, art, nature, and attitude. It's a world
where everything is aesthetically lovely and pleasing to all of the
senses.
We at Golden Dreamland believe in doing what we can to make this ideal real in our daily lives. It might not always be completely possible, but it's worth the effort. Even one small gesture can brighten a day, or a room, or an experience: the peony on the bedside table, the escapist film on a rainy day, the perfect green shoes, or a sweet pastry to alleviate the stress of a Monday morning.
