Interior Design Trend: Persian Rugs in the Kitchen

We love the look of a Persian Rug in the kitchen. The bright color and cozy texture really warms up the space, especially when paired with all white cabinetry.

Interior Design Trend: Pendleton Fabric Upholstered Furniture

We have an armchair we are looking to re-upholster, and while searching for inspiration we noticed a lot of seating that had been redone with Pendleton wool fabric. Such a fantastic idea, and so cozy for winter! Here are some of our favorites:

Based on these selections, we should probably use the Glacier National Park Print or the Walking Rock in Black/White...

Design Trend: Deep Turquoise

We're in love with deep, moody turquoise on walls right now, and the way it sometimes reads as almost green or black... Pairing it with copper or warm woods makes a great contrast.

Crazy About: Body Chains

We have loved Beyoncé and Rihanna's body chains for a while now, and are so excited to see them popping up everywhere lately. If Tom Ford even has a version, it's got to be chic, right?

Crazy About: Fawn Print

Fawn print has been popping up on the runway the last few seasons, from Proenza Schouler,
to Carven, and most recently at Pucci. We adore the new take on animal print, and what better
time than spring to mix it into our wardrobes? Here are some of our favorites.

Why This Doesn't Work: Antlers and Lush Greenery

Here at Golden Dreamland we love sharing trends and inspiration with all of you, both through the blog and on our Pinterest account. A lot of times on Pinterest we come across images that have amazing potential, but for some reason just don't work. We thought we would start a segment where we look at what it is that is keeping something, be it an outfit or an interior, from greatness. Today's images is this greenhouse:
Greenhouses are one of our favorite types of rooms, especially when attached directly to the home. They have the romance of old European estates, smell earthy (in a good way), and are often filled with lush plants and flowers. Antlers are one of our favorite interior decorating accents. They soften a modern interior, and have a warmth and rusticity to them. However when the two are combined, as above, they take on a slightly creepy vibe (very True Detective). We would much prefer each individually, like these spaces:
