Bouquets to Art April 2016

We love the annual spring Bouquets to Art fundraiser at the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. This year's show at the de Young had such beautiful color and textural combinations. Here are some of our favorites.

What We're Talking About This Week: Mother's Day Edition

Traveling with your mom is an amazing bonding experience, no matter your age... We love these mother-daughter itineraries.

And, wherever you go, this travel etiquette guide will come in handy!

These quotes from famous women on their mothers will make you sentimental - and will hopefully inspire a very sweet Mother's Day card.

If you need a last minute gift, these burlap wrapped bouquets are a lovely, thoughtful idea.

This list has some of the best - and most surprising - songs about mothers.  You can also never go wrong with the Spice Girls classic, Mama...

Happy Mother's Day!!

The 2015 Bouquets to Art Show at the de Young Museum

The annual Bouquets to Art Show at San Francisco's de Young Museum has become a yearly tradition for us.  We love going back each time to see which paintings are most inspiring to Bay Area florists, and what creative arrangements they come up with the celebrate the museum's art.  Last night was the opening, and the show runs through the weekend, so hurry if you'd like to see it for yourself!  If not, enjoy our memories, and those of years past with 2013 and 2014's posts.

Bouquets to Art

We love going to see the de Young Museum's Bouquets to Art show every Spring, as we shared last year.  This year the Museum celebrated its thirtieth anniversary of the exhibit, which only lasts a few days before the flowers fade.  They always have a beautiful display of the local florists' work alongside their permanent collection.  These are our favorite arrangements from this year:
