Moment to Remember

 Sometimes the best vacation find isn't a physical object that you can take home, but a perfect memory or tableau that you keep in your mind. This moment, looking out at the incredible view over Big Sur from Nepenthe Restaurant, was one of those perfect pictures to remember.

Vacation Travelogue - Highway 1

Driving down Highway 1 from San Francisco to Los Angeles is the perfect day trip. There are so many great places to stop at, and the view of the Pacific is absolutely breathtaking.

We Recommend: Big Sur Bakery

Whether your destination is Big Sur, or you're just passing through, we recommend stopping at the Big Sur Bakery & Restaurant. It's right off of Highway 1, and is a delicious spot to get a pastry and coffee or tea. There's also a gas station right in front in case you need to refuel.

 The bakery counter - so many different tea options!

We recommend getting a sampling of items to find your favorite. We tried iced coffee, passion fruit iced tea, a croissant, cupcake and blueberry strudel. While all are amazing, the strudel was the winner.
