We recently grabbed dinner at The Nice Guy in West Hollywood. We were excited to check out the bar, having heard good things, but expected it to be mostly a scene, with food as an afterthought. We were very pleasantly surprised when our food arrived. We ordered the roasted brussels sprouts with feta and breadcrumbs; figs, caramelized onions, gorgonzola, balsamic glaze and thyme topped pizza; housemade butternut squash ravioli with citrus brown butter and chorizo vinaigrette, and for dessert, a caramelized apple crostada with whipped creme fraiche and caramel. The ravioli was the favorite, but we would order everything again in a heartbeat. The cocktails were delicious as well.
Reservations are required, and should be booked a few weeks in advance. We also recommend specifically requesting a booth when making the reservation, to ensure you get a good table.
To make a reservation call (310) 360-9500 or book through opentable.
Cocktails, brussels sprouts and apple crostada. YUM.
