The Nancy Meyer directed film The Holiday stars Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet as two women who swap houses over Christmas to get over heartbreak, and they both gain a new perspective on life and love, with Jude Law and Jack Black, respectively. Diaz's character is from LA, and we need every sweater that she wore in this movie, and Winslet's character is from the English countryside and we are obsessed with her cozy cottage. As in most of Meyer's movies, there is a huge emphasis on lifestyle and aesthetics, and this film is the perfect mix of the warm, sunny California Christmases we grew up
with, and the cozy, snowy, traditional English Christmases we dreamed
about.
