Scent of the Month - February

Our scent for the month of February is Endymion, which is described as a sensual fusion of citrus, spices and leather. It opens with a burst of sweetened mandarin wrapped gently in sage and lavender, then settles gently into a dark coffee heart. As it warms up, mysterious resins rise up with hints of creamy nutmeg, cardamom and the softest leather. Spicy and fresh, it is a fragrance of contrasts, a seductive night time fragrance. Endymion was a mortal who was so loved by the Goddess of the Moon that she put him to sleep forever so she alone could visit him every night. That being said, here is what we would wear along with Endymion.

Favorite Hikes - Pirate's Cove

This hike is a more strenuous version of our earlier Tennessee Valley hike. Like the previous one, take the Mill Valley/Highway 1 exit off of 101, and then turn left onto Tennessee Valley Road. Drive all the way to the end, and you'll find a parking lot at the trailhead. Take the main trail until you reach the path for the Coastal Trail. Hike up the hill until you reach a cross roads. Take the Pirate's Cove fork and follow it all the way down to the beach. It's the perfect place to bring a picnic.

Academy Awards Fashion: The Vanity Fair Party

Many of our favorite looks from the Oscars were the ones the stars saved for the Vanity Fair Party after the awards.  Without a princess dress in sight, and some fashion people mixed in, there were a number of stand outs heading into the Sunset Tower last night.

Academy Awards Fashion: The Red Carpet

This year's Academy Awards fashion was subdued, with a fairly neutral palette similar to the one we have seen all awards season - despite the variety of color on the fall runways.  We were not blown away overall, but we still had our favorite looks:

 

Jessica Chastain wore custom Armani Privé with Harry Winston jewelry, and Old Hollywood hair and make up. 

 

Halle Berry in Versace.

Naomi Watts wore Armani Privé - she worked closely with the designer on the gown. 

Kerry Washington wore Miu Miu.

Nicole Kidman wore our favorite L'Wren Scott dress from the Fall 2013 show in London.
