Vacation Travelogue - Highway 1

Driving down Highway 1 from San Francisco to Los Angeles is the perfect day trip. There are so many great places to stop at, and the view of the Pacific is absolutely breathtaking.

Foodie Favorite: Handsome Coffee Roasters

Located near Downtown Los Angeles in the Arts District, Handsome Coffee Roasters is definitely our favorite LA coffee spot, if not our top spot in the entire state of California.  We love their Dandy, and especially, their Dapper espresso blends, their wonderfully simple, almost Scandinavian aesthetic, and their incredible pastries.  The kouign-amann is one of the best we have tried, but their simpler croissants are delicious as well.  We have been known to drive way out of our way just for one of their lattes, and have never once had it be anything but a lovely experience.

Queen Letizia of Spain

Today, King Juan Carlos I of Spain has stepped down to allow his son, Prince Felipe, to become King of Spain while still in his prime.  There has been much controversy about the Spanish Royals of late, but no one is saying that their new Queen Letizia is anything but chic.  The former journalist and Crown Princess is stunning, and knows exactly how to suit her figure and coloring, while both looking current and maintaining her decorum.  These are some of our favorite of the ensembles she has worn since becoming part of the Spanish Royal Family a decade ago.
