Scent of the Month

This month's scent is Maison Martin Margiela's Replica Promenade in the Gardens. Combining
'the intense femininity of Turkish rose, a woody, elegant heart of patchouli, sandalwood, and
vetiver to evoke a familiar but forgotten moment—a stroll through the heart of an English garden.'
Clockwise from top left: dress, earrings, sunglasses, cardigan, purse, sandals, necklace, scent

Bouquets to Art

We love going to see the de Young Museum's Bouquets to Art show every Spring, as we shared last year.  This year the Museum celebrated its thirtieth anniversary of the exhibit, which only lasts a few days before the flowers fade.  They always have a beautiful display of the local florists' work alongside their permanent collection.  These are our favorite arrangements from this year:

Recipe: A Dressed Up Baked Cheese Sandwich & Pear Salad with Mustard Vinaigrette

Ingredients:

One pound round loaf of sourdough
8 oz black truffle gouda cheese, sliced
8 oz jack cheese, sliced
2 heads of butter lettuce
3 pears, we like Bosc
3 tablespoons of grainy French mustard
3 tablespoons of white wine vinegar
1/4 cup of olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt and pepper to taste

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

Cut the loaf into thirds, and place the jack cheese on one layer and the gouda on the other.  Wrap the loaf in foil, and place in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted.  Once done, remove and let sit for about 5 minutes before unwrapping and cutting into 8 slices.

For the salad, rinse and tear the lettuce, and slice the pear.  Mix the mustard, vinegar, oil, and lemon juice together.  Toss the ingredients together in a bowl, season with the salt and pepper, and serve alongside the baked cheese sandwiches.

Our Favorite San Francisco Movie Images

We may be biased, but we think that San Francisco is the most photogenic city in the 48 continental states.  Its beauty has been captured on film many times (as we have covered before with Vertigo and Blue Jasmine) but it has endless breathtaking angles, with its incredible architecture, stunning bridges, and unpredictable weather patterns.

Interior Decor: Terrariums

Our favorite part of spring is the blooms and greenery outside. We want to bring some of that indoors, and a terrarium is an easy way to do that, as the enclosed space helps to preserve moisture in the soil and creates a warm environment for plants to grow. Here are some of our favorites. Now we just need to decide if we are going to plant succulents or orchids...

Crazy About: Fawn Print

Fawn print has been popping up on the runway the last few seasons, from Proenza Schouler,
to Carven, and most recently at Pucci. We adore the new take on animal print, and what better
time than spring to mix it into our wardrobes? Here are some of our favorites.
